And so my trip came to it’s end. It has gone so quickly, yet it feels like if I’ve been away for months. I guess that’s what happens when you lose time, and when you experience so many breathtaking moments every day. Something changes inside of you, and you return a little bit more rich. Rich of memories and experiences. New views and perspectives. Travelling is truly the only thing you can buy that actually makes you richer. And well, I’d like to say the same about my dear camera though. It makes me richer in every way, every day.
Andenes, the last location of my worktrip in Northern Norway, was so good to me. It is a very small town in the end of an island above Lofoten. Surrounded by the most magnificent mountains and beaches with white sand, as fine as any Australian beach! Every day when I finished to photograph in the school, I went straight to the beach and spent most of my afternoons there. I had so many walks along the shore with my camera, and with many layers of clothes and winterboots and all. And sometimes I was just sitting there, in the middle of this long white sand beach, listening to the sound of the waves and losing myself in the endless horizon. The beach and the ocean really does something to me. Something really good!
This mountains in the end of the beach was some of the most spectacular that I’ve ever seen!
The amazing view from the apartment that I rented through Airbnb!
..and the view to the other side from my balcony at twilight! So stunning!
When the sun rised beside the school where I was working.. the mountains it rises above is actually Senja, the island where I spent last weekend! This photo is completely untouched, the view and colours was just unreal!
Altough all of my days in Andenes were sunny and clear, it was overcast every night until Thursday. I had been hoping to watch the Northern lights from this beautiful beach all week, and it finally happened on my last night! When I came down to the beach I saw some weak green light, and then it just went crazy! It was some of the most intense shows in the sky that I’ve ever seen! My heart was beating so fast, I got so overwhelmed by the magic around me. I watched so many falling stars, and later I found out that it was the night of the Orionids meteor showers, and I actually managed to capture some in this photographs! Have a look and make a wish 😉
How amazing is the moon?! I think I am having some special kind of connection with this super moon. I really got my very best shots of this beautiful planet, on this trip. Ah, this trip, that turned out to be so magical! I am so grateful to Fotonorden for giving me this opportunity ♥♥♥
