Wow, this last half year really flied by! I guess it is true what they say, time flies when you’re having fun..
So, this blog has been on hold for quite some time, and I’ll explain why. In the beginning of March I decided to build a complete new website, as my old one didn’t even encouraged me – so how could it possibly attract clients? I also decided that I would go through my big archive of thousands and thousands of photos (for the third time) to look for some hidden treasures. I really did not feel like doing this big project (I’ve probably spent thousands of hours in front of the computer) but I felt that I really needed to do it, in order to show my work to the world in the best way, and by that; getting more of the jobs that I’d love to get!
Two days after I had started the neverending struggle of building this site, I got two calls, from two old clients, who wanted to hire me for multiple exciting jobs! So I got really busy shooting a complete catalog and campaigns of Nordlys Design’s new collection, and around 30 apartments to capture on images for a Real Estate company. Time to work on the site barely excisted, but I still worked on it pretty much every free minute the last half year – Saturday nights as well as Monday mornings. It’s really been like if my whole life these past months has been all about this website. Because it is certainly a powerful and essential tool for our future plans of travelling the world and getting paid for it.
But in between all of the hard work, I have also had some wonderful times this summer. I have been home to Sweden two times, I’ve been home to Italy one time and I’ve been on an amazing roadtrip in Norway with my love and my parents whom came for a visit. I’ve also spent a week in the countryside outside of Oslo, where I attended to a photography course with around 40 other photographers. Now that was pure magic. I’ve learnt so so so much, and I got so inspired by the lovely people I met – and that was also the start of my three months employment for Fotonorden! Yep, that’s right, I am actually employed as fulltime photographer these days! I’ll tell you more about that, and about my recent trips, in upcoming posts. Now I am just too excited to finally launch this site after all this time!
