Finally it happened! I left the hospitality business for good. Last month, after 10 years of working for somebody elses dreams in different restaurants I´ve had enough. I felt that the time has come to fully follow my dream, to become a photographer, fulltime.
Preferably a travel photographer. In that way I would be able to do what I love and have been doing for the last years, roaming around the world taking photos. But I would actually be able to make living out of it. Oh what a dreamlife! I have decided that I AM going to get there one beautiful day, I´ll just have a lot lot lot of work ahead of me. I believe in Jimmy Cliff “you can get it if you really want it”.. I would not have dared to take this big step if it was not for the most important persons in my life, my boyfriend and my parents, whom belives in me more than myself, and who I know will do anything to help me pursue my goals. Words can not describe my love and gratefulness to them.
So I´ve been very busy lately, shooting a lot of photos and working many many hours on my computer to enlarge my portfolio which is my key to get jobs, freelancer as I am. And I am loving it. It gives me the freedom to live my day the way I want it and suits me best to be happy; creating new photos when I feel creative, having a coffeebreak when I feel like coffee, processing in the late nights when I focus at my best..and so on. I am impressed by my self-discipline. But I guess it comes naturally when I´m doing something I love.
A couple of weeks ago I went home for 10 amazing but too short days. Mainly because I had to get a surgery done in my mouth, and to get some qualitytime with my family, animals and friends of course. But before I knew it, I got hired for one and another portrait-job. I am so happy that so many of my friends supports me and my crazy ideas, it means a lot to me.
Here is a vibrant photobomb from the last weeks in both Trondheim and my beautiful home in Sweden. Have a great start of the week everyone!
